DO...
You enjoy meeting new people?
Friends ask you for local recommendations?
You love sharing what makes Southeast Montana special?
If you’re nodding along, you might already be an Ambassador at heart.
HAVE YOU EVER…
Helped a visitor find their way?
Shared your favorite local spot?
Welcomed someone to town with a friendly smile?
If so, you’ve got the spark to play the part.
IMAGINE…
Helping someone feel at home, even if they’re just passing through.
Being the reason a visitor finds their new favorite trail or café.
Sharing a story only a local would know.
If these are things you love to do, then this is just the role for you!
The Southeast Montana Tourism Ambassador Program invites locals who love this place to share its landscapes, stories, and small-town hospitality—one conversation at a time. There’s no set schedule and no rigid scripts to memorize. As an Ambassador, you simply share what you know, help when you can, and meet visitors where you already are—at a business, event or visitor center. We provide the training, tools and branded materials to support you along the way.
The program is open to anyone 18 and older who enjoys interacting with people and wants to learn more about promoting Southeast Montana’s communities and attractions. After completing a quick in-person orientation or online certification through Visit Southeast Montana, you’ll be ready to share your pride in our beloved region and all it offers as a volunteer representative. Want to join us on this exciting adventure to benefit locals and visitors alike?
